Pricing
Whilst Lawson Computer Repair will price every job on the amount of work involved, we have set some parameters for this pricing policy that will be subject to continual review:
- Software repairs - £30-£50 (plus a charge for any necessary purchases)
- Hardware repairs – Free diagnostic and a labour charge of £30- £50 per repair
- Build of a new system - £40-£60 fee plus an approximate a small mark-up on the purchase of the various parts
- Wireless router set-up - £40 (including security advice)
These prices are approximate and have flexibility within this pricing policy to be competitive in the market place. This pricing is relevant to on-site repairs within the working hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week.
These working hours are standard, however should an urgent problem present itself to a client outside these hours, a service shall be offered.
Lawson Computer Repair comply to the following regulations:
- The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
This places duties on self-employed people with respect to health and safety when using electricity at work. - The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982
This deals with consumer contracts involving the transfer of goods and services and it requires that any trader undertake these services with proper levels of workmanship. - The Consumer Protection Act 1987
This safeguards consumers from products that do not reach a reasonable level of safety. - The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006
This safeguards the disposal of any electrical equipment then it must be done in accordance with these regulations. - The Torts (Interference With Goods) Act 1977
This Act sets out the responsibilities of business owners regarding items that have been taken away from client’s premises for repair.
