Maintenance Contract

Lawson Computer Repair has certified technicians who are highly skilled and cross-trained on numerous products, platforms and technologies.  We provide a comprehensive service in maintaining and supporting hardware, software, cabling systems and peripherals.

  • Hours of Cover
    Service cover will be between 0900 - 1730 hours Monday to Friday (8 Hour Response Time). This excludes Weekends and Bank Holidays where call out will be a separate fee.

    Data Protection and Security

    We comply with all the Data Protection Acts currently in force.

    Where hard disk drives are showing faults, either the hard drive or the PC system unit will be replaced until the faulty unit is repaired. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all data stored is fully backed up. We will not be held responsible for any data lost during the repair of a system. However, we offer a data recovery and backup service at an additional cost.

Hourly rates for equipment not under warranty or covered elsewhere:

£25 Warranty (Manufacturer's Warranty) research if required.
£40 On-site and carry-in repair of hardware, upgrades, and basic operating system
£70 On-site repair of local area networks, file server and networked peripherals, complex operating system repairs, communication diagnostics.
Time & Material contract does not include parts. An official purchase order is required before work is started.

New Computer Installation

£40 Installation of new Computer and peripherals. The hourly rate will include the following: delivery of the item, Un-boxing and new set up, all software installation required, initiating and testing of internet and e mail connectivity, network printer configuration, and file server access. Also included will be the relocation of old PCs into storage.
To recycle old PC’s a charge is required, on a per computer basis.
£40 per hour for installation of a new Computer and peripherals, data transfer from an old to new PC, and reassignment of an old PC to another user.
